Hi there
Having a 88 wagon myself I was quite interested in what has unfolded on this webpage in the last 24 months.
I won't be doing the same on my car as it is up on mileage (290000) and starting to get a bit of blowby. But I was thinking of sourcing a wrecked calibra turbo if I can find one and seeing if I can graft the motor in and maybe swap the FWD internals of the gearbox over. What appeals to me is that the car is a totally stock looking camira from the outside and NOONE would ever expect you to get the holeshot from the lights! anyway if you have a crisper NA tune rom you would like to share I would love to get hold of it. also I am curious about a) the program you use to view the tuning map B) what you use to burn the rom and C) what has to be done to the 808 to install the new rom's . can't wait for the next installment, hope she is all you are expecting and more!

hey ashmira,

Nice to hear a few more people taking an interest in what we are doing. There is plenty of info on the net about modifying the factory delco ecu. One of the main ones we spent time on was http://forum.pulsar.org.au/showthread.php?s=3b6b4df285104966ba7e81c7221bf808&t=26353

It took us quite a while to get our ECU working with the 2 bar map sensor, part of the problem being we didnt actually understand alot of what we were doing. So we just kept at learning as much as we could from people and the internet until we began to get an idea of what was what. I would suggest having a read of the forum in the link above as a starting point.

As for doing a chip for you, at the moment we dont even know how well ours will work until we get all the SC parts finished. I wouldnt want to try and make you a chip and end up damaging your engine. We are not experts, we basically started this with very little knowledge on this sort of stuff with the objective of learning. We chose the camira because it was cheap, plenty of info on delco, and if we blew it up, well so be it.

Cheers
