Intercooler found..

Posted by superchargedcamira on January 26, 2007

Here is a pic of the intercooler we are going with. Its a “China cheapie” but brand new for $99 from We figured it will probably would be the same if not better than a second hand stock unit (eg. Rx-7 intercooler) and for $99 we couldn’t complain. We would probably be battling to find a 2nd hand one at that price anyway. The measurements are a tiny 300 x 225 x 55!

  1. Damn, thats really really small!

  2. Its actually bigger than some factory units from smaller 15yo jap import cars (the only other 2nd hand intercoolers in our budget) – except for the GTR and Supra. We arent running insane boost so it should be fine for our application front mounted. Guess we will see anyway. Gives us something to start with and will be inconspicuous to the boys in pink er.. I mean blue.

Do you have a body kit for it yet? hehe you probably think i’m joking right.

I am looking at one day retro fitting a madza 323 protege front and side sploilers to a camira.the rear i’m unsure aout but none the less.chev cavileirs are the same body make. right dimentions but maybe a little bit of cut and paste. Or look up a Z22 spoiler kit from chev.

  4. Gday Kel,

Haha yeah cheers for the tip. I dont think we will be spending any $$$ on the body in terms of making it more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Ive seen a VS Commodore body kit on a JE sedan – looked pretty cool but I still wondered “why?!”. Pity the Camira is a wrong-wheel-drive otherwise I reckon it would have more of a following.
